Dr. Temple currently serves with National University as the APD for the Single Subject credential. He has also taken on the role of course lead for the ITI Inspired Teacher Practice Emphasis course series. He also chairs the TED AI implementation and assessment team chartered to find best practices for the adoption and use of generative AI. He serves with the student success team as well as developed specialized projects like Project RYAN which was designed to capture student attention to communicate key course elements for better course performance and reduce instructor burden. Along side his duties at NU he sits as the CEO of ExL Labs, Inc. This educational technology start-up seeks to redefine how VR and hyper-engaging curriculum can reface an education system that is bleeding student attention. (exl-labs.com) He's continued research into this area has lead to technical innovations that have not been made public yet due to the critical role they play in ExL Labs' future projects. Inspired by his time as a science and content consultant for CSI:NY (TV series), Dr. Temple created the acclaimed AREA154: Apocalypse Division Chemistry STEM program and is currently the sole owner of the AREA154 IP. As the focus of Dr. Temple’s doctoral research, the program appeared to have cracked the code for teen science engagement. In the classroom, Dr. Temple was an urban legend. During his 27 years as a secondary instructor in STEM sciences, he was decorated with three national teaching awards and more than a dozen local and regional citations for his innovation and influence among his students. Additionally, Dr. Temple’s work in the digital design space spilled over into revolutionary DVD designs for interactive learning, publishing the “Atom & Quark” series for elementary education. He participated in U.S. State Department efforts to bring digital design to educational leaders in Central Asia to solve remote learning challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to being a professor of instructional technology and methodologies for 3 different universities over the last 22 years, he published educational technology research papers, presented and keynoted conferences all over America and Central Asia.
