Dr. Barbara M. Hall earned a PhD in Education with a specialization in instructional design for online learning. Dr. Hall is actively engaged in the exploration of student engagement and peer interaction, particularly within the contexts of asynchronous, online courses. She is interested in how course discussions can build community and support proficiency in learning outcomes. Her research revolves around the concept of intersubjectivity, which in short means mutual understanding, and how intersubjectivity can be fostered through the design, development, facilitation, and assessment of collaborative course elements.
